To: Conservatives / Re: The Election

Don't feel bummed out about McCain losing. Let's be frank: Conservatives lost the election when McCain got nominated.

Conservatives got a consolation prize in Sarah Palin, but to paraphrase Obama, lipstick on a moderate such as McCain ... is still a moderate. (And as we all know, a moderate is merely a liberal too embarrassed to be called a Democrat.)

Given the results of this election, I am more convinced than ever that the core principles of value will grow in importance as Democrat-controlled governments (local, state and national) stray further from those principles.
